Childhood Food Insecurity
in Duluth, MN

SUPPORT THE CHILDREN
Our goal is to eliminate childhood food insecurity in the Duluth community.
The children are the future of Duluth. If we want to see Duluth continue to grow as a community then we need to help the current children. Providing a better present for them has the potential to create a better future for them as well.

School Of Promise Project
Some children from low-income families in Duluth, specifically Myer’s Wilkins Elementary, are not being fed enough or at all once they go home from school. This can affect their mood, academics, and behavior. On weekends or days when children do not have the opportunity to go to after school programs, they are not guaranteed well-rounded meals when they go home. The problem of child hunger is prevalent in low-income families.
